Scar tissue can develop after vaginal surgery after childbirth. Sometimes a doctor or midwife needs to cut in the area between the vagina and rectum during childbirth. This is called an episiotomy. The area of episiotomy scars can be very small but at times they cause lot of pains when irritated. In certain cases scar tissues may recur in the area of excision creating even more scar tissue. This treatments surgical procedure or laser resurfacing, depending on patient’s requirements.
